Welcome to the official website of the Long Beach Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated!
It is my distinct honor and privilege to serve as President of this remarkable chapter of dedicated women committed to transforming lives through sisterhood, scholarship, service, and social action.
Since our chartering in 1986, the Long Beach Alumnae Chapter has proudly served the communities of Long Beach and its surrounding areas through impactful programming, strategic partnerships, and unwavering advocacy. Our legacy was built by visionary women who understood that meaningful change is achieved through collective action, compassionate leadership, and an enduring commitment to public service.
As we embark upon the 2026–2028 biennium, our theme, "Continued Impact. Greater Engagement. More Life," reflects our vision for strengthening the work we have already begun while creating new opportunities for our chapter and the communities we serve.
Continued Impact calls us to build upon our rich legacy of service. We honor the remarkable foundation established by those who came before us while remaining committed to expanding our influence and creating meaningful change.
Greater Engagement encourages every Soror to discover meaningful ways to contribute. By embracing the unique talents, perspectives, and gifts of every member, we strengthen our sisterhood and enhance our collective ability to serve.
More Life is our commitment to cultivating sustainable systems through intentional, thoughtful, and efficient planning, enabling us not only to excel in Delta, but also to flourish in our personal, professional, and spiritual lives. This brings renewed energy, creativity, and excellence to the work of Delta. By working smarter and supporting one another, we create space not only for impactful service, but also for the joy, balance, and fulfillment that sustains lifelong service.
Inspired by International President Cheryl W. Turner's theme, "One Delta. One Mission. Anchored in Legacy. Evolving with Intention," we recognize that our greatest accomplishments are realized when we W.O.R.K. together. OUR PROGRAMS
Our programs are rooted in Delta Sigma Theta’s Five-Point Programmatic Thrust, ensuring every initiative reflects our commitment to educational development, economic development, physical and mental health, international awareness and involvement, and political awareness and involvement. Guided by purposeful social action, we design programs that uplift, inform, and create lasting impact across our communities.
We also host fundraisers to support these annual programs and our scholarship efforts. When you support our events, you directly support the service areas we serve.
